“In the Garden of Earthly Delights” is based upon Hieronymus Bosch’s three-panel painting (1450-1516), which continues to entertain and delight. The book features eleven unique multi-colored etchings, with inks applied in a painterly manner from open bite copper plates. Each intaglio print is hand painted by the Artist with watercolor and gouache. The etchings are printed on folios of white, cream and grey Somerset archival cotton rag papers. The three sections coincide with the panels of the painting from left to right, becoming darker with each panel. Three newly written poems announce each of the sections and are hand set in metal type and letterpress printed on papers from JB Green paper mill, England. The concertina sewn spine binding is quarter-bound with pink Buffalo leather over white cotton papers, with leather onlays, bound by Celine Marie Lombardi, with a white paper and leather wrapper, and full leather slip case.
The edition is very limited to 12 books. Price $4,500
