Declaration of Independence: New Version

Today I began swiping out the long-s pieces of Caslon type and quaints from the 1777 historical facsimile originally printed by Mary Katharine Goddard.

The new edition now states that “all People are created equal” instead of “all Men” – it is time to set the record straight!  I completed the first column, changing the ligatures and quaints with the long-s (that looks like an ‘f’).   I will need more “st” quaints cast before I can go to press.
