We had a great time learning letterpress printing in one day!  Everyone hand set type and learned to print on our vintage Uni III.  With Mindy’s guidance everyone printed a nice set of notecards + their favorite quote, AND a lovely class broadside edition…

We had great new letterpress workshops, with everyone creating fabulous note cards and editioned broadsides!

At the Studio this past week we had our Introduction to Letterpress class with everyone setting type and creating bookmarks with their special quotes:

and  Michelle printed Baby Announcements for her new little angel.  We used a soft tan ink for the border and a soft lavender for the text.  They look lovely!

Also this week, Gavin came by to print on leather for his fabulous books.  Hopefully, he’ll come teach this Spring!

And, we had a great session on understanding polymer plates and press set up with Jesse.  Mindy helped her print the covers for  books she is binding for a client.  Jesse learned the importance of creating a mock up and got comfortable printing large sheets on the Uni III.
